COUNSELLING SERVICES

The ideal practitioner offering these counselling services may vary depending on your preferences and the service requested. We will work with you to ensure the right practitioner with the right background and experience leads the counselling supports provided.

  • 1 Client : 1 Counsellor

    Meet with a trained professional counsellor to address mental health or personal growth.

  • A paired relationship (2) : 1 Counsellor

    Two people meet with a trained professional counsellor to address things that they are dealing with in their lives that are affecting their relationship.

  • 2 + people in a relationship : 1 counsellor

    Two or more people meet with a trained professional counsellor to address things that they are dealing with in their lives that are affecting their relationship, with focus on consensual non-monogamy, or other diverse relationship structures.

  • 2 + people from a family structure : 1 counsellor

    Two or more people from a family structure meet with a trained professional counsellor to address things that they are dealing with in their lives that are affecting the relationships within their family.

  • 2 + people from any type of relationship: 1 counsellor

    Two or more people from any type of relationship meet with a trained professional counsellor to address things that they are dealing with in their lives that are affecting their relationships.

    With note that the relationship type does can by any type from friend, to roommate, to classmate, to colleague. You let us know what you relationship is and what yo want to work on in counselling.

  • 2-10 people : 1+ counsellor(s)

    Two or more people meet with one or more trained professional counsellor or facilitators to address mental health or personal growth.

OTHER SERVICES

We will work with our clients to offer these additional services as they are identified. These services will be offered by practitioners with the appropriate professional credentials and range of experience that match the needs of clients seeking these services.

  • 2-10 people with 1+ practitioner(s)

    Workshops offered to clients to gain more knowledge and skills on specific topics presented by 1+ or more practitioners.

  • 1 client : 1 practitioner

    Services with a practitioner trained in accessing and finding a variety of resources with a focus on finding resources to address your specific needs.

    This could be things like applying for disability applications, career services, gender affirming care, goal setting, time management. You let us know what type of resourcing help you need and we will work with you on it.

  • 1 client : 1 practitioner

    Services to meet with a practitioner trained in crisis response, with brief therapy and one-on-one listening skills to address mental health and lifestyle strategies in a short-term or one-off capacity.

  • 1 client : 1 practitioner

    A process where an individual meets with a practitioner who provides them support and shares space with them while they work on a task to help them plan, focus and progress in individual goals.

    This can be for day to day tasks, school and work projects, or creative endeavours. You let us know the task or goal and we will work with you in a body doubling capacity.

WAYS TO ACCESS SESSIONS 

We are always working to improve the accessibility of our services, whether in person, online, or over the phone. Ask your practitioner about how we can help you with any accessibility needs you may have.

  • We offer various ways to meet your counselling needs for in person session, whether in-person at the clinic, outdoors with a walk-and-talk session, or at a location of your choice.

    1. Meeting at the Clinic

    When you book an in-person session, your practitioner will provide details about the clinic location, including the address and information about the space.

    2. Walk-and-Talk Sessions

    Walk-and-talk sessions can start at the clinic or at a mutually agreed-upon location.

    Please note: Walk-and-talk sessions must take place on human-made paths without significant tripping hazards for safety.

    3. Come-to-You Sessions

    If you’re unable to travel to the clinic or prefer not to, some practitioners may offer sessions at your home or a public location of your choice.

    Please inquire with your practitioner about whether or not they offer in person sessions and what type.

  • This is a session that you access through Zoom, or Janeapp at your booked session time.

    Please confirm with your practitioner regarding the platforms they use and how to access this type of session.

  • These sessions are conducted via phone and can be accessed by receiving a call at the number you provided at your scheduled time. If closed captioning is needed, this may also include calling into a Zoom session to enable this feature.

    Please confirm with your practitioner to ensure all details are arranged and clarified for this type of session.
